Meredith Lewis Gallo opened GALLO in 2017 and brings a modern, fresh eye to her projects. Although youthful in appearance, a lifetime of design experience has enriched her design abilities. From an early age, Meredith worked side by side her mother learning about color, spacial planning and textiles. Formal interior design studies at The New York School of Interior Design were enhanced by her time abroad in Europe learning about art history and helped to deepen her appreciation of the creative arts. Meredith’s design style is clean, fresh and somewhat edgy – she loves to blend old and new in unexpected ways.

Meredith’s career began working for venerated fabric house, Cowtan and Tout, where she developed an unparalleled eye for mixing patterns and color. Bicoastal training continued under the tutelage of several esteemed interior designers. As a junior decorator, Meredith worked with David Phoenix, Jeff Lincoln and Meg Braff assisting in all phases of residential interior design resulting in various photoshoots for Veranda, House beautiful and numerous other magazines of this caliber.

Fashion and interiors often intersect, and Meredith’s diverse design experience coupled with her impeccable taste and ability to express her style in numerous venues led her to become a sought after tastemaker.

Meredith’s design philosophy is that your spaces should be comfortable, beautiful, and versatile reflections on how we live our life. Comfort through selection of the right pieces and the perfect placement; beauty through the right mixture of color and proportion, and versatility in that rooms should accommodate multiple purposes – mindful of how we live. This threefold philosophy has resulted in numerous happy clients and beautiful designed spaces across the New York area.
